Reminders and Notifications from Happier

You can use your cell phone or tablet to build a healthy habit by setting up reminders to meditate. Here's how to turn that feature on or off and set it to a time that works well for you.

On both Android and Apple devices there are two places you use to control the reminders you get from Happier. The first is in the Happier settings and the second's in the phone's native settings. Setting up reminders in the app should take care of everything.

Troubleshooting: If you haven't used Happier for 10 consecutive days, we stop sending reminders so you don't feel badgered by the app. Complete a meditation of any length, even a minute, and the reminders will start up again.

Apple

  • In the Happier app, tap Profile at the top of the screen.
  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper, right corner.
  • Turn on the toggle to enable reminders.
  • The default time is 7:00 a.m. To choose a different time, scroll to the time you want and tap Save.
    • If you want to change it the future, come back to this spot and tap Change.

If you've got reminders set up in your Happier app but you're still not getting them, check the phone's notification settings. Find more information on the notifications settings for iPhone and iPad here

Android

  • In the Happier app, tap Profile at the top of the screen.
  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper, right corner.
  • Tap Notifications.
  • Turn on the toggle next to Daily Reminder to enable reminders.
  • The default time is 7:00 a.m. To choose a different time, scroll to the time you want and tap Save.
    • If you want to change it the future, come back to this spot and tap Schedule again.
  • If you want your phone to pause notifications from other apps while you're meditating, you can turn on Do Not Disturb While Meditating.

If you've got reminders set up in your Happier app but you're still not getting them, check the phone's notification settings. Find more information on the notifications settings for your phone here.
